[Decoded] The Sunday dread, the inbox recoil, and other things we don't say out loud

Decoded: Musings on Human Design for living your BEST life

BUSINESS / CAREER / RELATIONSHIPS / PARENTING

Hey Reader,

I've been busy over on Substack lately - and I wanted to bring the highlights back here for you, because some of this is too good to stay buried in an archive.

Here's what's been landing:

The business that looks right but doesn't feel right

This one is for anyone who built something real, ticked all the boxes, and still finds themselves opening their inbox with that low, quiet recoil. The Sunday evening weight. The calendar that's full but somehow doesn't feel like freedom.

The thing nobody tells you when you leave a job or a career that didn't fit - is that you take your nervous system with you. Your relationship with achievement, approval, and the need to prove yourself doesn't disappear when you become your own boss. It just wears a different outfit.

If any of that lands, read the full piece here.

Your sacral isn't broken. It's ignored.

Burnout isn't a time management problem. It's not a morning routine problem. And it's definitely not a "just push through it" problem.

Around 70% of people have a defined Sacral centre - Generators and Manifesting Generators. The ones designed for sustainable, renewable energy. And yet they're the ones I see most burnt out.

That's not a coincidence. That's misalignment.

This piece walks through what it looks and feels like when your Sacral is out of alignment (defined or undefined), the thought patterns that give it away, and the questions that actually start to shift things. Read it here.

I just "did"

This one's personal. It's the piece I wrote about the digital marketing business I built, got good at, and eventually couldn't open my laptop for without that familiar tightening in my shoulders.

I didn't have one dramatic breaking point. I had dozens of small ones.

And then I found Human Design - sideways, the way most of us do - and read something that stopped me completely. Not because it was new information. Because it named something I'd been living with so long I'd stopped noticing it. The things I'd been trying to fix weren't broken at all.

It's the most personal thing I've put out so far, and the responses have been something. Read it here.

Posting to make sales is costing you sales

After 15+ years in digital marketing, I've watched every content trend come and go. And the one thing that consistently undermines everything - regardless of type, regardless of strategy - is agenda energy.

When you create content with a monetary expectation attached to each individual piece, your audience picks it up. Not consciously. But they scroll past without knowing why.

This piece is a type-by-type breakdown of what agenda energy actually looks like for your design, and what aligned content creation looks like instead. It's practical, it's specific, and if you've ever felt like you're doing all the things and still not getting traction - this is probably the piece you need. Read it here.

That's what's been happening over there. If you're not subscribed yet, you can catch every new piece the moment it lands. Come find me on Substack here.

As always, hit reply and tell me which one resonated most. I read everything.

Kindest,

Cat

Why the standard business advice always felt like it was written for someone else entirely....

More like... hand me a messy situation and I'll instinctively start pulling it apart, finding the logic, and rebuilding it into something that actually makes sense. Patterns. Frameworks. Processes.
