Decoded: Musings on Human Design for living your BEST life

BUSINESS / CAREER / RELATIONSHIPS / PARENTING

Hey Reader,

Lately, I’ve noticed the same question showing up in different forms.

Why does life feel harder to hold together?
Why do things that used to work suddenly feel exhausting?
Why am I less willing to push, perform, or pretend everything’s fine?

For most people, there’s no clear reason.
Nothing dramatic has happened.
From the outside, things might even look “good.”

And yet, something feels different.

This is where Human Design gives us a bigger lens.

It describes long cycles in how humanity organises itself. Not trends or predictions, but slow energetic shifts that change what we’re supported to do, and how we’re supported to live.

Right now, we’re in the final years of a 400 year cycle that shaped almost every system we know.

And as that cycle winds down, the way we work, relate, lead, and make decisions is quietly changing too.

Most people don’t know there’s a shift coming in 2027. They just feel the effects of it already.

Human Design tracks long cycles in how humanity organises itself. Not predictions. Not trends. Patterns that unfold over centuries.

For the last 400 years, we’ve lived inside an era built around shared systems.

  • Governments.
  • Corporations.
  • Education.
  • Marriage.
  • Career paths.
  • Community agreements.

The deal was simple.

  • Contribute.
  • Be reliable.
  • Play your role

And in return, the system would hold you.

Most of us were raised inside that logic.

What’s changing now is that this agreement is quietly dissolving.

Not because you failed.
Not because society did something wrong.
But because the energy that sustained those structures is no longer there.

From 2027 onwards, the collective is no longer designed to carry the individual in the same way. Instead, each person is asked to become more self directed, more discerning, and more connected to their own internal guidance.

That can feel unsettling.
Especially if you were good at the old rules.

Community doesn’t disappear.
It becomes chosen, not obligatory.

Structure doesn’t vanish.
It becomes personal, not imposed.

If life feels more revealing right now.
If things that once worked suddenly don’t.
If you’re less willing to override your body, your energy, or your truth just to keep things stable.

You’re not losing your edge.

You’re sensing the transition.

And the people who feel this first are usually the ones who were never meant to live on autopilot anyway.

For centuries, humanity has been living inside scaffolding.

Support beams.
External structures.
Rules that told us where to stand and how to move.

The scaffolding made things feel stable. It also limited how alive we could be inside it.

What’s happening now is not the building collapsing. It’s the scaffolding being removed.

And when scaffolding comes down, everything feels exposed for a while.

You notice what was leaning on it.
You notice what can actually stand on its own.
You notice what was never yours to carry.

In upcoming issues of Decoded, I’ll keep exploring what this shift means for real life, work, and decision making, in a way that stays grounded and usable.

Kindest,

Cat

Pinpointing your Chiron Return

by Cat Skreiner Decoded: Musings on Human Design for living your BEST life BUSINESS / CAREER / RELATIONSHIPS / PARENTING Hey Reader, In the last edition, I introduced Chiron as the part of our chart that points to our deeper wounds. Not wounds in the dramatic sense. But the places where life asked us to adapt early. Where we learned what was safe. What was risky. What parts of ourselves were welcome. And which parts felt easier to hide. Everyone carries a Chiron theme. It’s not the same for each...

by Cat Skreiner Decoded: Musings on Human Design for living your BEST life BUSINESS / CAREER / RELATIONSHIPS / PARENTING Hey Reader, There’s a moment many people reach in midlife where something unmistakable happens. Patterns repeat themselves more loudly. Old hurts resurface with less warning. Experiences you thought you’d moved past suddenly ask for your attention again. This isn’t regression. And it isn’t failure. It’s timing. In the context of the larger shift we’re moving through, midlife...
