Hey Reader,

Last weeks newsletter resonated with so many of you, it was so great to have so many hitting reply to let m know! There’s a reason this moment feels so personal for many women in midlife.

It’s not just hormones.
It’s not just ageing.
And it’s not a personal unraveling.

Midlife is already a threshold.
A time when roles loosen, identities soften, and the strategies that once kept life moving start to lose their grip.

Add a collective shift on top of that, and the experience intensifies.

For decades, many women have been the stabilisers.
The ones who keep things running.
The emotional glue.
The reliable presence.

At work.
In families.
In relationships.
In communities.

Those roles were rewarded in the old cycle.
They kept systems functioning.

But as the collective scaffolding comes down, the cost of holding everything together becomes impossible to ignore.

What once felt like responsibility starts to feel like depletion.
What once felt like competence starts to feel like self abandonment.
What once felt necessary starts to feel heavy.

Midlife removes the illusion that you can keep paying that price forever.

The 2027 shift doesn’t create this reckoning. It exposes it.

This is why so many women in their 40s and 50s feel less tolerant of forcing. And YEP, I'm right there with you!
Less willing to override their bodies.
Less interested in roles that require them to disappear to keep things smooth.

This isn’t withdrawal.
It’s discernment.

It’s the beginning of living in a way that doesn’t rely on you carrying what was never meant to be yours alone.

In this emerging era, sensitivity isn’t a weakness.
It’s an early warning system.

Energy awareness isn’t indulgent.
It’s practical.

And self trust isn’t selfish.
It’s stabilising.

If you’re finding that you can’t go back to how things were, even when part of you wants to, that matters.

You’re not meant to rebuild the old world.
You’re meant to live differently in what comes next.

In the next edition, I’ll explore what actually becomes important when external structures lose their authority, and why decision making, energy, and timing take centre stage.

For now, notice where your tolerance has changed. That’s not loss. That’s information.

Kindest,

Cat

But your brain won’t stop. You’re running through scenarios.Replaying conversations.Trying to get ahead of something that hasn’t even happened yet. Pinpointing your Chiron Return

by Cat Skreiner Decoded: Musings on Human Design for living your BEST life BUSINESS / CAREER / RELATIONSHIPS / PARENTING Hey Reader, In the last edition, I introduced Chiron as the part of our chart that points to our deeper wounds. Not wounds in the dramatic sense. But the places where life asked us to adapt early. Where we learned what was safe. What was risky. What parts of ourselves were welcome. And which parts felt easier to hide. Everyone carries a Chiron theme. It’s not the same for each...

by Cat Skreiner Decoded: Musings on Human Design for living your BEST life BUSINESS / CAREER / RELATIONSHIPS / PARENTING Hey Reader, There’s a moment many people reach in midlife where something unmistakable happens. Patterns repeat themselves more loudly. Old hurts resurface with less warning. Experiences you thought you’d moved past suddenly ask for your attention again. This isn’t regression. And it isn’t failure. It’s timing. In the context of the larger shift we’re moving through, midlife...
